(Douglas Blair - D.B.) I'm Doug, I'm originally from Connetticut, but I relocated in Turku, Finland, on 2014 to work in a band coaching program. I've been playing in bands since I was 9 so i have a lot to tell to these young people about what NOT to do and why NOT to be in a band. The coaching program has been really fun and through the small net and web of people knowing each other in Finland, probably two or three steps away, I met Jarste, because I saw the poster for his GTR tour in a music store, and since the moment I saw the poster, I wanted to be involved on this GTR tour ! Hello there 👋! In June we had the pleasure to interview this amazing Dutch/Hungarian band called Light by the sea. We talked about their single Elenor, debut album, live gigs and so many other things. Keep scrolling for the whole interview ;). Hey there guys! How are you doing? We are quite busy at the moment, we are in the middle of the recording of our debut album, two days and we are going back in the studio to finish the last three songs. Blind Channel on the road for Eurovision Song Contest

On the night of the 20th of February, Blind Channel won the Uuden Musiikki Kilpailu, with their latest single "Dark Side" . UMK is also known as the Finnish national selections for the Eurovision song contest 2021. The band will now be competing against 40 other acts in the Eurovision contest which will be held in Rotterdam (Netherlands) in May. For those who might not be familiar with the band, Blind Channel is a Finnish violent pop band formed in 2013, by Joel Hokka (vocals and guitar), Niko Vilhelm (vocals), Joonas Porko (guitar), Olli Matela (bass), Tommi Lalli (drums) and the recent addition Aleksi Kaunisvesi (keyboards). We got to see Blind Channel perform for the first time in 2016 when they opened for Simple Plan's gig in Helsinki, since then we have been following their journey, from the release of their first album through the third, various singles and performances, both in Finland and abroad.
