The 9th edition of the Slovenian reggae festival, OverJam will return in Tolmin on the banks of the Soča river from the 20th to the 23rd of august. All the artists that have been announced so far, will be performing for the very first time at the OverJam, the first four name that have been announced are Morgan Heritage for the very first time visiting Slovenia, Anthony B and Hempress Sativa will bring their sunny vibes all the way from Jamaica and last but no least the American Collie Buddz. For the first time this year, we got to cover Rastaplas, one of the many reggae festivals happening in the Netherlands.  The festival is two days long and situated on a beach, in the west side of the country in Zoetermeer.  The first day of the 16th edition of Rastaplas opened its gates with the dutch band Frontliners, and closed it with the powerful roots reggae Dezarie from the Virgin Island.  When we got to the festival we were “welcomed” by the Jamaican Utan Green, followed by the New Kingston straight from the US, which in my opinion are the cutest thing ever since the band is formed by three bothe rs and their dad, and last  but not least our favorite twins Mellow Mood from Italy Around 19:30 people started gathering around the main stage, while Reggae Barbie (main stage host) kept the vibes alive with her awesome Dj skills while the twins were doing soundcheck, the more we got close to the actual show time the more people gathered al...

Hello people ! The 8th edition of OverJam reggae festival has its complete lineup.  As many of you may remember last year was our first time at Overjam, and it felt like heaven, a music festival in the woods with a clear water river  surrounding it, where everyone is nice and kind to other. The festival will take place in Tolmin ( Slovenia) on the banks of the Soča River, this year the festival will be from the 15th to the 18th of august.  Last year's line up was pretty awesome and also this year's lineup is pretty hot ;). Alborosie & Shengen Clan,   Israel Vibration  , Queen Ifrica ,  Junior Kelly,  Ward 21,   Zion Train ,   Cali P,     Lion D  stand out from a list of more than 40 international artists. Rototom 2019, is getting closer and we couldn't be happier, Rototom is home, the place where we always feel welcome and we can't wait to be there again this year. We already knew the dates for this year's edition since the second we left the festival ended, which are from the 16th till the 22nd of august ; but now that we have also the first line up announcements everything feels more realistic. We already have 23 artists who will bring the sound to the 26th edition of Rototom Sunsplash. On the crest of this first announcement there are 3 Jamaican musical aces ; starting with Ziggy Marley ,  and joining him is the modern reggae crown Chronixx -with Rototom being his only date in Spain- and Busy Signal  who has accompanied Major Lazer with his sharp verser and who will return to Benicassim after 5 years. To follow on the main stage we have the legendary Israel Vibration , Queen Ifrica , Marcia Griffiths , Brinsley Forde & Dennis Bovell present Babylon Soundtrack...

And also the 7th edition of OverJam reggae festival had come to an end. For RQL it was our first experience in OverJam and in Slovenia ; and we left a piece of our heart there. The only word we can think of, when we want to describe OverJam is "Amazing" ; the organization was excellent. From the secutiry to the info point, all we found was kindness and expertise. The artists were the real top notch of reggae scene. The last day was blessed by a gorgeous wheather, the river has quickly become the place to stay to chill in every sense. Workshop, children's area, music and a wonderful and powerful university with Italee ; and Israel Voice (which we later saw) about the role of women in contemporary reggae music. The last overjam night was amazing, the main stage displayed Shanti Powa followed by Brain Holidays(band from Croatia which we had the chance to interview soon before their show... I n exactly four weeks the seventh edition of OverJam International Reggae Festival, will start and it will take place in Tolmin, Slovenia. As we already said, for the first time ever we will be there as media partners, and we couldn’t be more excited, for this new adventure. But going back to the festival, this  year's  line up is pretty cool so if you haven’t you better get your ticket. New day, new line up announcement for Rototom Sunsplash !! :D  In this announcement we can see many artists from the reggae #madeinitaly.  Beside the past announcements the new Italians who have been confirmed to Rototom are : Lady Flavia, Italian Reggae All Stars ft Africa Unite, Giuliano Palma, Raiz, Train to Roots, Nina Zilli, Michela Grena and Brusco ; and last but not least from the Italians… our favorite twins… Mellow Mood !!! The 25th edition of the biggest European reggae festival, Rototom Sunsplash it’s getting closer and closer. In the last couple of weeks Rototom has given a lot of announcement about this year line up, in case you missed the first announcements you can find them here  Rototom is that place where everyone fits in, there are no labels it’s the place where everyone can be free to be him/herself and enjoy a week of sun, fun activities and great music from several stages. Last august we left Rototom Sunsplash's gates with a promise : to do our best to go back to the festival the year after. Finally we are getting closer to the 25th edition of the biggest european reggae festival, and we are so thrilled to see how the festival will be this year. Dates have been already announced a few weeks back and now we also have some of the first artists that will hit up the stages, and fill with their music the festival area. Yesterday night we had the chance to finally meet in person Jacopo and Lorenzo from Mellow Mood. It has been great to talk with the guys about their show here at Rototom (they will perform tonight, so a few hours to go ! ), their expectations, their memories from past editions and their plans.
