A few weeks ago I bumped in one of the most joyful and intriguing music video I came across in a long time. It sparkled some curiosity over the band singing the beautiful and catchy tune '' Sigo Bailandolo'' : Las Bajas Pasiones. The guys are super-kind and agreed to answer a few questions for RQL! It was exactly one year ago in Loviisa, when we started daydreaming about covering Rototom Sunsplash as media. It has been a long year of working hard, brainstorming and promoting. But all our efforts have been rewarded by getting our accreditation. As an independent radio it has been a really exciting pursuit from such a big festival. So here we are, are you ready for a walk inside the biggest european reggae event with us ? Let’s begin with the media center, which is something you hardly ever see. It is just on the left of the main stage, very cozy and useful area for every professional working here.  But let's go on with our visit. Hello everybody, Roots'n Boots it's only 3 nights away, to warm up the atmosphere here we are with another interview with one of the bands who will hit the stage on saturday ; the band we are talking about is the great The Ronski Gang. Let's jump into it :) !   -Would you like to introduce yourself to the listeners ? Hi. I'm Hans "Hate" Sjöblom and I play drums in the rock band The Ronski Gang and I've been playing in that band since 1968, from the very beginning. The other original members are my brother and lead singer Ronski and the bass player Misteri. Btw Ronski means in English rough or something like that. Then we have two great guys playing guitars, Vesa Kääpä and Kiffe Sjöblom. Vesa is known for such bands like Leningrad Cowboys and Veeti Kallio etc.  Nowadays we do a few gigs per year but in the 70's we did no less than 150 gigs per year. Last saturday, two members of RQL staff went to the concert of the great Blind Channel band in Bar Loose in Helsinki. It has been an amazing evening with the band really at its top. The set-list started with 'My revolution', one of their most energetic song and it went on with tunes like 'Unforgiven', ' Bullet (with your name on it) 'and many more. During the show we have been also treated with a real gem, the violent-pop version of Ed Sheeran's 'Don't'. Blind Channel ( as we already stated a few times here or here ) are really a great band, with good music and an obvious love for what they do. After the show we even had the chance to meet the band and talk with them: kind, down on earth young men who are committed with their music and fans. Not even to say, since last saturday I keep finding myself singing one of their tunes, so if you have the chance I strongly advise you to go and see them live, they are sure worth it ! Hi Dear listeners and readers !! This web site has been quiet for too long, so here we are with the review and a short interview about the amazing Blind Channel band (who we have interviewed some months ago here the link ) debut album which was realised a bit over a month ago.  We had the chance to see the Blind Channel band back in the end of May when they were opening for the canadian band Simple Plan in Helsinki. Since that It has been quite hard to stop listening to their music. Their performances are an incredible thing, we were eagerly waiting for their debut album, and it's finally out. Listening to "Revolutions" it is like walking in the forest , in the dark, your heart beating fast while you are running for the light.
